I received a Bachelors Degree from Kent State University in 1997 with an Arts Education major and a Studio Art minor. I was awarded an entrance scholarship based on my studio work to return to KSU, where I received my Masters degree in Arts Education with a studio focus on Digital Photography in 2004.
I have been teaching photography for the past 17 years at the high school level in Northeast Ohio. I truly have a passion for teaching and am amazed by my students’ talents and creativity. Many of my students win awards for their work at local, regional, and national art shows. I also host several digital photography and Photoshop workshops throughout the year.
I have had several gallery exhibitions and my work has appeared in the Akron Beacon Journal, Newsleader, the 52 Weeks/52 Works 2006 calendar, on Jones Soda Labels and in ForePar Golf magazine. I also design logos, designs and advertisements for several companies and organizations.
